Pilates Contemporary
Core training performed on a mat. Pilates was originally devised as a rehabilitation method that could be done in bed. By performing simple movements while being mindful of correct posture and coordinating them with breathing, you can build strong and flexible muscles without putting strain on your body.
Contemporary dance is a new style of dance that is thriving in Europe. It allows you to learn completely different ways of using your body, thinking about your movements, and expressing yourself, expanding the possibilities of your own dance.

Class Introduction

Core training performed on a mat. Pilates was originally devised as a rehabilitation method that could be done in bed. By performing simple movements while being conscious of correct posture and coordinating them with breathing, you can build strong and flexible muscles without putting strain on your body. Strengthening your core can lead to improved posture, reduced back pain and stiff shoulders, and enhanced performance in sports and dance.

Learning contemporary dance expands your way of thinking, methods of expression, and the possibilities of your own dance. Currently, if you can't dance contemporary, your options for working as a ballet dancer abroad will be significantly limited. This class is especially essential for those considering studying abroad or working with overseas ballet companies. Taught by a professional contemporary dancer, this class will provide you with a new perspective and discoveries about ballet. Adult students are also welcome to join.
